Molly Caudery ranked number 1 in the UK under 17 in pole vault

Molly Caudery from Illogan received £1,250 from The Lord Lieutenant Fund for Youth towards new poles for pole vault, travel and accommodation costs for competitions.

Molly is ranked 1st in the UK in her age bracket for the pole vault. Molly has won the England Schools, Schools international, AAA National championships and the Sainsbury School games. In her combined events of hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800m she is ranked 6th in the UK and 1st in the South West.

The Lord Lieutenant’s Fund for Youth – Young and Talented Cornwall awarded eight talented young people with a total of £4,640 in September. The fund is managed by the Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF) and the most recent beneficiaries included musicians, athletes, young surfers and a canoeist. The Fund aims to help young people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly aged between 14 – 23 years old who have demonstrated the desire and capability to accomplish great things.
